Manchester, United Kingdom

Bio: A community group, formed in 2012 to campaign for the restoration and repair of Baguley Hall, Manchester's oldest building, a superb example of pre-Norman architecture, built in 1320 by Sir William De Baggelegh, a Cheshire knight and a pioneer of the Cheshire Salt Mines on the site of an earlier Anglo-Saxon aisled hall from the 11th/12th century. Baguley Hall, currently undergoing repair and restoration. Will be an icon of regeneration for our local community. We hope to be able to staff The Hall with enthusiastic volunteers who will act as House Guides.
